Schooling everyday in every way

This weekend was memorial weekend. We had a blast from BBQ'ing with friends to planting in the garden and yard. While keeping Dawson busy enough so he wouldn't pull out the vegetable plants right after I put them in the garden.

Today we were watching Rob pull out some old glass panels to recycle and he caught a grass snake for us to look at and touch. Then we let it go and next he comes out with a mole. I have never seen one and they are definately weird looking creatures. Mekayla liked his mouth. Then we let him go and watched him burrow in a hole.

Little does Rob know that is homeschooling at its best learning about animals in their own habitats...

We also are still watching our tadpoles get bigger eeryday. They are doing well and have now grown larger legs in the back!

Its awesome when we find wonder in things and the children see that.

The Blog Decision

Well I finally broke down and decided to do a blog for our family. So those out of state can keep track of what we are doing.

Life has been busy with trying to figure out what we plan to do with homeschooling and if we are moving or staying put. I think we have decided to stay put for awhile at least while Rob finishes the shed and if we find a place cheap enough that we like we will move if not we stay... How is that for a decision.

As the children sleep I think about what I can do tomorrow to make their day enriching. Mekayla would like anything adventrous or artsy and Dawson just likes to be involved in some aspect.
